EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  Min. # years pre-professional education required for licensure: Applicants must graduate from an accredited institution - the institutions, not CCO, stipulate pre-professional education requirements.  No requirement for 4-year degree planned.
  Accreditation for Chiropractic Programs/Institutions: Fully accredited CCE - Canada and CCE - U.S.
         
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATES OF FOREIGN COLLEGES:  Schools with CCE Reciprocal Agreement accepted.
         
SUMMARY OF SCOPE OF PRACTICE:

The practice of chiropractic is the assessment of conditions related to the spine, nervous system and joints and the diagnosis, prevention and treatment, primarily by adjustment, of, (a) dysfunctions or disorders arising from the structures or functions of the spine and the effects of those dysfunctions or disorders on the nervous system; and (b) dysfunctions or disorders arising from the structures or functions of the joints.

  Board regulates specialty council certification: CCO recognizes five specialties: FCCS(C), FCCR(C), FCCSS(C), FCCO(C) and FCCRS(C).

Licensees required to carry malpractice insurance: $1 million per incident and maximum $3 million. Doctors can incorporate in Ontario.
